What clients and builders say

Feedback from clients and builders, taken from our Google and Checkatrade profiles.

  • I have been a customer of Ian and his team for nearly 20 years. They handled the heating system installation in my new build in 2010, and I later invited them to redo the heating in my French house. They are now finishing another new build with me. I would never use anyone else.

What we do

Underfloor heating is our whole business

Ian and Luke Constant and their team work on underfloor heating and nothing else. That covers a wide range of jobs, from a single bathroom to a whole house, in new builds, extensions, renovations and older homes.

Why Constant Hot Water

Built around real workmanship

Underfloor heating is buried in the floor for the life of the building, so it has to be right first time. We plan the layout around your floor build up and how the rooms will be used, lay the pipe or panels neatly, connect the manifold and controls, and pressure test before the floor goes back down.

Ian and Luke run Constant Hot Water together as a father and son team. A lot of our work comes back to us through the same builders and clients, year after year.

  • Wet and electric systems
  • In screed, overlay and between joists methods
  • Supply and installation, or installation only
  • Work for homeowners and for building projects alike

Recent work

A look at the installations

A closer look at recent underfloor heating installations by the Constant Hot Water team, from individual rooms to larger renovation and building projects.

  • Overlay underfloor heating in a glazed garden room

    • Wet system
    • Overlay system
    • Garden room

A low profile overlay wet system running through a glazed garden room and into the adjoining space. Grooved insulation panels are laid over the existing floor and the pipe is pressed into the routed channels, so the finished floor level barely changes. A good approach where digging out for a deep screed is not practical.

  • Underfloor heating at first fix on a building project

    • Wet system
    • In screed
    • New build

A wet underfloor heating circuit run across several rooms at first fix stage. Timber stud partitions and blockwork are up, first fix plumbing is in, the floor is built up over insulation and membrane, and continuous pipe is laid in flowing loops from room to room, ready for screed.

  • Wet underfloor heating installed between timber joists

    • Wet system
    • Between joists

This wet underfloor heating system was installed between timber joists across several connected areas of an existing property. The photographs show the pipework fitted neatly within the timber floor structure before the final floor finish was installed.

How it works

A straightforward process

  1. 1

    Talk it through

Tell us about the space, the heat source and the stage you’re at. Where it helps, we’ll visit to look at the floor and levels.

  2. 2

    Plan the layout

We set out the pipe or panel layout to suit the rooms, the floor build up and how you’ll use the space.

  3. 3

    Install and connect

We fit the pipework or panels, connect the manifold and controls, and pressure test before the floor goes back over the top.

  4. 4

    Set it up with you

We set the system up and show you how to use it. For anything specific to your project, just ask.
